A scrunchy mom’s guide to travel and life
Hi! Allow me to begin by thanking you for being here with me. I cannot wait to share some of my adventures, tips and life experiences with you. My name is Allison Cook. I am a millennial, God-fearing, scrunchy, wife, mom, teacher, photographer and outdoor enthusiast. My husband, son and I live on our little work in progress homestead in MS. I also have two bonus children who live with their mom but visit us as often as their schedules allow. I work as a science instructor at a community college. Prior to my current job I taught Biological and Physical Sciences in 9th-12th grade and coached tennis. My husband is also a teacher and coach. My precious little boy (peep the photo below for one of our first glimpses of his personality) is just 8 months old so he’s new to the scene and has inspired much of the experiences I plan to share with you!
It is my love for photojournalism that has inspired me to create this blog in attempt to share photos of our experiences, humorous bloopers of our life, and tips from our travels as we love to travel/camp as often as our lives allow. (We actually just work so we can pay bills and travel.)
On a more serious note, I hope to share with you while also being transparent because we all know that life is never as glamourous as it seems on the web.
So, for now, thanks for joining me and come back soon!
